HashKeymasterMay be the WordPress was not installed properly.. Please try reinstalling again because that error should not appear if the WordPress was completely installed.
HashKeymasterSorry, it is not possible to alter the header banner for individual pages. The theme allows to add only a single page banner which shows in all page/post. If you want to embed this feature, we can do it for a paid customization of $50

You can add the language selector in the Menu. The Polylang has feature of the Language switcher menu.

The child theme does not have any thing to do with the error.

Please check by disabling all the plugins.HashKeymasterBasically, the featured section is not intended to display the latest blog. So you need to choose the page other then blog page for this section.
But its true that if you choose the blog page for the featured page option, it will show the latest blog. So you can leave the 2nd and 3rd featured page option empty and choose the blog page for the 1st featured page and then set the number of post to show from the Settings -> Reading.

If you check our demo website, you will see that the woocommerce work good with the theme.
I suggest you to delete the woocommerce plugin and install it again. May be this will solve your problem.

The problem seems to be from hosting or may be some of the plugin you have installed might have caused it. The theme does not have any such code that prevents the code to edit from the editor.
Also the theme update reset the code to the original format so you should never be editing the code directly. Follow the child theme approach if you want to edit the code.

But if you want to create normal static page as a home page, then it is not possible to change the header banner image and both sidebar as well.
