Dunnes Stores shoppers are being urged spend their vouchers this Christmas, due to a major change in its vouchers system.

The Irish retailer's popular €10 off €50 groceries voucher scheme has been running for several years and it's helped many a customer especially during the festive season. But soon customers will have less time to spend on their vouchers than previous years.

Dunnes Stores customers have previously had 14 days to redeem the €10 off €50 Spend Threshold Voucher, reports the Irish Mirror. This means that shoppers get €10 off their bill bill if they spent €50, which is very handy for grocery shopping.

However, The Irish Times is reporting the Dunnes has begun a major shake-up to its voucher system by distributing vouchers that now expire 10 days after they were issued instead of 14 days. This means that shoppers who spend €50 with Dunnes will have a shorter space of time to spend their savings in the lead-up to Christmas.

On Dunnes Stores' website, it explains how shoppers can make the most of their €10 off €50 on the big shop online with its Shop & Save grocery vouchers. They said: "Don’t worry if you don’t have a valid voucher!

"When you shop online, €10 off €50 vouchers will be automatically applied at checkout, once the qualifying spend amount is reached (up to the value of €150, excluding alcohol).

"When you shop in-store, your valid vouchers will be applied when you present them at the till using our app or your paper receipts."

Meanwhile, Dunnes also announced a change to its returns and exchanges policy. Items purchased in their fashion or homeware departments from from October 14 can be exchanged or returned until January 10, 2024, as long as you have the original receipt.
